Everything you could ask for in a beach house. Large well appointed bedrooms, all with private bathrooms. Great kitchen & living area with lots of seating for meals. Private, beach front pool & super walkway to beach with covered sitting area on the dunes. A great deal when you can split the cost with everyone. We have stayed several times & will be back..

This was our fifth year coming to Emerald Isle and the second consecutive year renting 1 angel's Haven. We love the floorplan of this home, especially the main floor, which is perfect for our large group of 17. We were pleased to see the floors had been redone and the ice maker, air conditioner and grill had been fixed from last year. The pool remains a big hit with the kids - they love the saltwater vs. cholorine at other houses. The house could use some TLC - grimy (black!) door jams, missing handles on bedroom doors, both dishwashers broken and a constantly leaking refrigerator pooling water on the floor were annoying. We were also disappointed the hot tub was broken for our entire stay. On the plus side - no bugs this year! The house is perfect for our big group - we love the gazebo area, porches, wide open floor space and bright, airy rooms. Updated bedding this year, too! We hope to be back again next year - new dishwashers and a fresh coat of paint please!

Great bedrooms, decks and beach access. Had a lot of minor repair problems and a few more major problems. Elevator did not service all floors.

This is a great house. Almost every room could be a master bedroom and every room has its own bathroom. The location is great since it is far enough removed from the town to feel like you are away from everything. Everything was clean. The location of the kitchen on the first main floor works very well for older family members as opposed to the top floor kitchen design that is common among the larger houses. There were a few maintenance issues (door handles rusted off) that were responded too immediately, but could not be fixed during our stay due to having to order parts. Some appliances were not working (wine cooler, ice maker), but they were also not listed in the description, so maintenance was not supposed to fix them. These were not major issues, but it would have made the experience that much better if they were in working order.

Dumpster sat in yard for the weekend i was told it couldnt be move. Everyone kept getting stuck in the elevator. I was stuck in there for 15mins we the service guy came he didnt know where the ownaers closet was or how to fix it after going back to the truck to call someone he returned and was able to fix it. He was nice &i; apologetic. I just think if some would have come when we first call it could have been prevented.

This is our seventh year here. It is the family gathering place for Christmas. We have always enjoyed the house. We can all get together in the spacious living/dining area for fun and games anytime. We were pleased to see that several things heve been enhanced or upgraded; the cups and glasses are newer and in better shape, the new sound system is very good - and easy to use - the dishwashers are new (or better). There were no problems with the volume of hot water this year. The house has always been comfortably heated. We like, and are used to, Emerald Isle. There are enough shops and stores for our needs. We especially like the Lowes in Carteret. We shop and dine in Swannsboro and Beaufort every year. There are enjoyable outings. We play tennis and golf on the Island and horseshoes on the beach. Having the linens included in the rental is an important convenience for us. The families fly into Raleigh or drive from home to the Isle and there is never enough room in our cars for everything. We'll be back next year, God willing.

The stay was good. A couple of issues. The grill was in pieces when we arrived and a replacement was made. It was a smaller grill and we had to make it work. The water pressure in the showers was low. The ice maker did not give us enough ice for the week. We had to buy ice during the week.

Everything about the home was excellent. We had one issue with a stopped up shower drain which was reported, but no one came to take care of it as they said they would. The weather was great and the ocean cooperated with our beach activities.

We love this house. Well built and comfortable. We have stayed there 4 times and the grill has never worked. I requested specifically that the grill be serviced and it still did not work. Also i requested one of the showers be serviced and we never saw a repair person.

I expect this is one of the top cottages on the beach. One dishwasher was broken. 22 people cannot operate on one dishwasher. There was only a note scribbled on the dishwasher. The bedroom on the third floor was missing the bed spread; it looked like a flop house. We all loved the upgraded TVs. Thanks. We all use the Wifi capability. The dishwasher was jury rigged by Monday morning and repaired by Wednesday. I had to call about midweek cleanup which did not come until 2:30 pm. While these few things need to be worked on, they don't bespeak of a $14,000+ week at the beach. However, we are coming next year.

Beautiful home, beautiful decor, roomy and fit the family needs. This was a big celebration and we loved the vacation. But to advertise it as a Sand Castle with no worries was very misleading. The rug in the dining room was filthy and in the living room very dirty when we arrived. Eir did send someone to clean the carpets the first night but we were unable to use those rooms the first evening there. One of the two dishwashers was broken upon arrival and despite repairman coming, we were informed the part had been on order for a week or more. But the second dishwasher never got fixed. Puzzling as it was a GE Profile dishwasher so the part should have been easy to obtain. Instead of no worries as promised, we spent a good deal of time doing dishes. The pool light remained broken the entire week we were there even though maintenance came twice and worked on it. The icemaker spit out about 6 cubes per hour which was hardly enough to provide ice for the family, thus we had to purchase ice. The lovely overstuffed chair in the living room was filthy and as this was the beginning of the season, it should have been cleaned. The beds were very comfortable and the outdoor furniture was plentiful. When we arrived, there was a framed picture with glass sitting on the floor and a sconce in the kitchen that had fallen. we had to call EIR to have them fixed but the sconce in the kitchen was never rehung and there was just a bare hook on the wall for our visit. The recycle bins in the back never got emptied and trash piled up the week we were there. The midweek tidy went well and the housekeeping crew were helpful and hardworking. In fact, one of them had a shower door fall in on them requiring help to get out from behind the heavy shower doors. We had to call EIR to have it fixed or the guest in that bathroom would have not been able to use the bathroom shower. The aC worked the best of any house I've ever stayed in at EI. My biggest complaint was that this property was very expensive and promised to be a "Sand Castle". Eir never once called to explain why they dishwasher could not be fixed, the pool light could not be fixed, or to apologize for the inconvenience our guests were caused by lack of management fixing major problems. I've stayed at places that cost a lot less and management has always made an effort to accommodate and fix things as they could. Very disappointing that EIR never tried and I would never recommend renting from them.

We were at 1 angels Haven over Memorial weekend and stayed for a week with friends and family- it went by way too fast and was just what we all needed! The house was great- rooms were private and noise was kept to a minimum, even with so many of us there! Our only complaint was the 2nd dishwasher didn't work and the guy came to fix it, but left- never to be seen again. We were hoping that the house would have had hair dryers and beach towels, as well as some basic spices or at least salt and pepper...we even had to purchase our own toilet paper- which was ok, but wish we would have known in advance...The grill would not light and was only heating in one small area, but we made due..just some suggestions for a better stay in the future! The location is great and pool was lovely. The weather was perfect while we were there and overall had a fantastic time! We'd love to come back! :) We went out to Shackelford Island and loved the shelling and horses. We also went to Sand dollar Island and all brough home treasures! Fun to do that and have lunch or dinner in Beaufort. Wish we had two weeks to explore more of the towns and such, but loved just doing nothing after a busy year! Thanks!

Like this house overall very well in terms of layout and location. Reported some maintenance issues on Monday that were not addressed during our stay - these included a broken dishwasher, broken icemaker, and broken outside waterline. These were not major issues but it was disappointing that no repairs were even attempted during the week.
