"Beautiful home but sadly LACKING!"
Just want to say the home itself is beautiful BUT, if you plan on cooking for more than 2 people bring your own pots and pans. Have never rented a beach home that was so lacking in cook wear for larger groups of people. Discovered at 1 am that 2 of the 6 beds hadn't been made.If you are looking for a response from Emerald isle Realty to resolve an issue with something not working......don't wait for it! Called on our 2nd day which was a Sunday to let them know that the dishwasher had stopped working and wouldn't drain except on the kitchen floor and that also the hot tub would not go above 53degrees (had already known heated pool was out due to cold weather but hot tub was working fine). Let them know I would not expect anyone to come out on a Sunday but would look for someone on Monday. Called on Tues to say dishwasher lights came on but kept going out with the flickering sink light and hot tub was still not working, EIR said someone would be out. Sent an email to EIR on Tues (when they asked if I wanted to re-rent for next year). Wed and Thur came and went with no one showing. Finally on Friday hot tub was fixed (only when one of my kids noticed it was at 65) but dishwasher was now starting to stink up the kitchen. This was my 6th rental in Emerald Isle and possible my last. I don't go on vacation to hand wash dishes or barrage a company to fix something when I am paying a fair amount to stay. Had an excellent time with my family but just wish Emerald Isle Realty was honest and just told me they weren't going to get to it during my stay.

Liked the cottage fine.... beautiful and real cool upstairs. Needed more and better cooking pots and pans for large groups. Ground floor temperature was too warm most of the time, having a locked regulator. Otherwise was a great week!

"Best house we've stayed in!!"
The house was clean, well maintained, and everything worked well. Everything mentioned in the description of the house was in excellent condition. From the kitchen looking out towards the ocean, all you could see was ocean, so I felt like I was on a ship. It was a fantastic week with the best weather. We actually found ourselves wishing for a rainy day so that we could take more advantage of the great theater room. The oceanfront house was well located and within walking distance to shopping and dining. Only a couple of miles away we had access to the bay where we caught bait and crabbed. The house is within walking distance to the oceanside pier where we could fish. The only weakness is that the bedrooms are plenty big enough to accomidate more beds. We had 3 adults and 4 kids staying in the house. The house was too big for our family, yet we used every bed. We would love to invite additional family to stay with us, but there are not enough beds.

"Fantastic stay, Fantastic house"
First of all, we read other reviews on this house and had some concern going in a few weeks before our stay. We called Emerald Isle Reality to confirm a few items and were reassured all was good. All was better than good. It was fantastic. We were two families with younger childern and we all had a great time. No pigion issues, no oven issues, no cleanliness issues. We've stayed in many homes up and down the east coast and this one is at the top of the list, along with Emerald Isle Reality. We will stay with them again and stay at this house. Great location. Great amminities. Very, very clean. Very, very, very relaxing.

"Wonderful Stay! Summer 2013"
Overall a very nice house! Our fourth time to EI. Twice in a duplex w/ a pool on the beach, one other beach house w/ a pool on the beach. Nice rooms, great rec area down stairs to include the theater room!!! Also, this was our first time in this location. Usually we are on the other side of the pier. I like this side much better.Only negative comment...no garbage disposal??? What!!! That was a bit frustrating. Also, not very much beach gear. We usually bring some of our own items but was a little disappointed that there wasn't anything to add to our items. We purchased a couple chairs and left them for the future families.

"Nice home but expect more for money"
The home is newer and nice, however, it's getting pretty beat up. The blinds on some of the doors are broken and some on the windows do not close. The kitchen is one of the most poorly appointed of any of the homes we've rented on Emerald Isle. One major concern, the oven puts off a terrible smell when used and we believe caused the CO2 alarm to go off during our stay. We had to evacuate the house and open all the windows and doors until the alarm stopped. We reported to Emerald Isle realty (who are awesome by the way) and assume they will have this fixed immediately. The pool is great, with a hot tub/Jacuzzi attached. The home sits in a "gated" community with only two beach front homes and sits beside a vacant lot so the beach in front in not crowded. The gate is always open and the community has been in bankruptcy (apparently just purchased) so the area has not been maintained well, although they are doing construction to the club house across the street. The pigeon issue (pigeons rousting in the front rafters of the house) is better but anyone staying in the bedrooms that face the street will hear them each morning. We've stayed at this house twice now and won't be back. It's okay, just not worth the $9K plus peak season in our opinion.

"Another memorable stay!!!"
This was our second year staying at 1 Summer Breeze. The experience was the same as last year - incredible! The floor plan is perfect for larger families wishing to spend time together without feeling short on space thanks to an open living/dining/gourmet kitchen area on the top floor. Media room is huge draw for the kids with comfortable recliner seats, large flat-screen monitor and cinema-like sound system. Property is in immaculate condition. Our interaction with Emerald Isle Realty staff prior to and during our stay was extremely positive (as always). We are already counting the days until our return next year!!

"Good time for the whole family"
First time at this home. Really set up nice. Came a day after a hurricane had gone through so experienced quite a bit of wind which stirred up the sand a bit. Coming off the beach there was no where to spray off the sand from feet and legs. Had to walk the pool deck and down stairs to get to the outside showers. Left a lot of sand on the pool deck which would get tracked in the home. Staff took care of the problem providing us with a hard plastic baby pool to fill with water by the entrance to the stairs leading to the beach. Kids would step in the pool and remove the sand from their feet. It worked and took care of the problem. Other than that the stay was perfect. Really had a good time and would come back again. Beautiful home!

"very close to the shore"
lot's of space and great location. Layout of house could've been better with the living area/kitchen opening out to the pool instead of being at the upper level. the door to the pool is on the same level as the 4 bedrooms. downstairs was an air hockey table the kids enjoyed along with a great movie room. there's an elevator! kitchen is well stocked and was a joy cooking in. dining table seats at least 10-12. a tv in every room, including kitchen. outdoor speakers to connect ipod along with an indoor ipod system - great jamming out with the family. outside showers were not operating and kind of disgusting...hopefully it's been updated. at the very top level outside, seagulls/pigeons(?) hung out and made a gigantic mess but luckily we didn't feel a need to go up into that area of the house. brand new weber gas grill was supplied. we would possibly stay again in the same house - definitely rent with emerald isle realty...they were so friendly and the check in/check out process was quick and efficient.
