Really enjoyed our stay here. The location and view are awesome. Home is well maintained, nicely decorated and equipped with cable TVs in each room. Great decks and deck views. Would definitely stay here again!

We rented aPV for the week of 9/18/11 and we were not disappointed. The house was very clean, pest-free and adequately outfitted. We've always liked reverse floor plans at the beach, and the top deck has nice views of the ocean despite being one lot back. The location is very convenient with regard to beach access. The Hdtv/cable setup was also appreciated, especially since we had a couple rainy days. The only issue we had during the stay involved the wireless router, which in hindsight had probably been manipulated by the renter from the prior week and had not been reset. The owner was very conscientious and stayed on top of the problem until it was resolved. He called the house several times from his home in Ohio until the problem was resolved.

The house is very pleasant, nicely decorated and very well equipped. It is very well located, near the beach and close to Emerald Isle shopping area. Also we appreciated that the owner called during our stay to check if everything was fine. We'd have liked to eat outiside on the terrace but as the living is on top floor it was often too windy and without shade.

We are a family of 4 who travels quite light and enjoys all the outdoor activity we can find. Great airfare and curious about NC southern coast brought us here for our only family holiday. Penthouse view was a good location for beach access, nice views, lovely deck and close to downtown. The largest issue was that it was just not set up for a 4 night (we paid for 7 nights) visit. We expected there to be at least a few rolls of toilet paper, kleenex in the bathrooms and dish detergent. Our mistake. If we had driven we could have brought literally everything from salt and pepper to napkins and toilet paper (not sure I'd want to do all that organizing for a week!). If we went shopping it would have cost us quite a bit to stock up for such a short time. Most renters we met had driven and were from the south. We've rented many homes across North america and the lack of basics here was the only surprise. The owners were lovely to call and check in. They immediately called cable company when internet was down and next day it was resolved. Beach was full of surf and great to walk/run on daily. I'm not sure I would advertise the Emerald Realty "breakfast" on departure. Store bought donuts, fruit cups in ice and coffee w/out real milk or cream doesn't seem to fit the otherwise strong image they convey.

Lovely property. Excellent location. Quietly delightful. Felt we had our own private beach. Only one negative we experienced - no air conditioning upon arrival...no big deal except for the 95+ heat wave we were experiencing. Air conditioning unit broke and was replaced late in the week of our stay. Owner was on top of it and rental office brought in window units. Plan to come back next year:)

We came here to rest and see the beach. The stay met all our expectations.
