Very fast check-in. House was clean, ready and waiting for us! We loved the location and the set-up. We had a great time enjoying cooking together and going to the beach each day. We have already booked this same house for next year! Can't wait!

Eight members of our family, ages ranging from 72 to 13, stayed in this home for a week (7 nights, 6 days) in June. We enjoyed the beach very much. The building is a duplex, and the back porch is shared - there is a small separation screen, but conversation/music/fireworks on the other side will be heard on your side, so it is important to establish good relations! The ground floor also contains a small apartment (no one was there during our visit) and a room with washer and dryer, very important! Access is by stairs to the main floor. Two bedrooms and a bath are upstairs on the second floor of the house. Anyone who cannot use stairs with ease should not consider this house. We were unpleasantly surprised when we initially arrived and had to use the toilet quickly, only to find no toilet paper in either bathroom. Unless the manaagement changes its policy on this, make sure you have toilet paper supplies with you on arrival. Access to the beach is direct, and there is good security and clean-up. Dining can be found in Emerald Isle (highly recommend Kathryn's Bistro and Martini Bar & Swansboro (The Ice House). There are a Food Lion and ace Hardware quite close, and just beyond the bridge leading to Emerald Isle is a Lowe's grocery store. Enjoy!

Weather was perfect, we loved the beautiful ocean view and the bright, cheery colors in the home. The ladies at Emerald Isle Realty were pleasant and happy to help with our honeymoon plans. Only complaints that we had was that the smoke detector, or carbon monoxide alarm kept going off every time we opened any door or window. Kind of frustrating when we wanted to open the balcony door. We didn't want to be bothered, and it wasn't enough to make any dent in our plans. Also, where in the world is the shared washer/dryer? Will definitely return next april to the same rental if it's available :)
