Our stay in Emerald Isle was magical. Flamingo Perch East exceeded our expectations. The house was clean and the decor was bright and fun without being tacky. We loved the house so much and the kitchen was so well equipped, we cooked every meal there and had dinner out on the deck most evenings. The views were gorgeous. We had a large party and the house is designed in such a way that everyone can find a loud or quiet space depending on their mood. Emerald Isle Realty made everything easy and were super friendly to deal with. I would highly recommend Flamingo Perch East ... just please don't plan on going during our week ... I'm hoping this becomes an annual event for our crew.

Fp East worked really well for our party of 11. We loved the amount of space and the decor was lovely, adding to our enjoyment of this unit. The furnishings were very nice. The dining and secondary tables were enough to seat us all. The bedroom and full bath on the main level was excellent for our older members. All beds and pillows were very comfortable. The aC appeared to be new and worked really well. The cooling in the house was just right and the compressors were quiet. Great new washer and dryer. The outdoor stairs to house and beach were not difficult for the eldest. Parking space is very good. The deck furniture is good. The bonus room on the ground level, while pleasant and well furnished, did not get as much use as I hoped due to its limited access and the small aC unit being noisy and insufficient to adequately cool the space. It was not good to use for sleeping. We appreciated the games and puzzles. The owner's efforts to provide a quality home were noticed - we've rented units on EI for years and this is a great value for the $.

This is our 12 year vacationing at Emerald Isle and the second year that we stayed at Flamingo Perch East. It is a beautiful house and very well stocked with supplies for cooking up freh caught seafood! Our family had another great vacation! Thank you so much for sharing your house!

We really enjoyed our stay at Flamingo Perch East. The house is beautifully decorated, with all updated appliances. The fridge was newly installed the day of our arrival. Also new is the washer and dryer. The view from the various balconies is gorgeous. I really have no complaints on this house. The house has baby gear such as high chair, and playpen for you to use while staying there which is very nice, although we did not use. The kitchen has lots of cooking utensils and pots and pans. The only thing it was really lacking is a nice pitcher for drinks. We luckily brought our own. Thank you to the owners who take such wonderful care of this home!

We always enjoy Emerald Isle. The house is comfortable and right on the beach.We enjoy the nearby restaurants that have fresh seafood. Love Jordan's and Rucker John's. We also like Captain Willis' lump crabmeat which we make at home.

We had 2 families staying - 4 adults and 4 children. The house was plenty big enough (very roomy), perfectly located ocean front and within walking distance to little store/gift shop (kids loved that!). The decor was pretty, beds comfy, and pretty clean for end of season. Only down sides: The refrigerator froze a lot of our food - most all of our veggies, yogurts, cottage cheese, whipping cream, cream cheese - we ended up throwing a lot of food out. We called maintenance, but their 1st solution was to reset the fridge - that's when more items froze. Eventually it was fixed - but too late for our food. The play room as noted by others was horribly musty. The only way we could let the kids play there was to leave the windows and doors (garage door too) wide open so a constant air flow could keep the odor down. The dryer also took 2-3 cycles to dry one load of laundry. I am sure it takes a beating, but owners might want to look at cost to operate it 3x/load vs. replacing. Loved that it was located on main level - but not in the kitchen!!

This was our 7th or 8th year at Emerald Isle with Emerald Isle Realty. The house was comfortable and well equipped. The house keeping and maintenence from the realty was better this year and more responsive. Our family likes the laid back atmosphere of the island. We used the eater park, the miniture golf, and the aquarium as our only diversions. Our only concerns about the house are the following: 1. Lower lever is very moldy smelling and we could not use the TV and games. 2. The upstairs was well used looking and could use some touch up or fresh paint. 3. Carpet on stairs was very soiled. We did not allow any of this to be a distractionto us but something the owner should be aware of.

I've been vacationing at Emerald Isle since I was a teenager...even before the bridge was built and we had to ride a ferry to get to Bogue Inlet. Very relaxing place to get away.

Great location, wonderful space for everyone. Good layout of bedrooms/baths for multiple families. Only negative was basement rec room. Beautiful room but uninhabitable due to musty odor. But the house was so roomy, we didn't need it. The porch furniture was great. The views were awesome.

Enjoyed our stay. Would have like an info brochure giving us trash pickup days, etc. Very comfortable beds. Game room nice touch. Hinges rusted completely thru on deck gate. Needs repair. Charcoal grill a minus. Needs propane grill.

What a beautiful home filled with beach decor and spacious living areas! We have stayed with Emerald Isle Reality for the past 10 years and would rent this home again in a heartbeat! Our family had a great time here and the only negative was that the basement rec room was very musty! Who needs the rec room when you have a the ocean and the biggest sandbox right in front of your house!
