When booked together with east and west, those whose pet is their significant other, can enjoy time with the whole family. A perk would be to install a door, in the porch privacy wall, so that families have the option to more easily visit for coffee and cocktails. Access to the beach is not possible for elderly, without assistance, due to deep sand and dunes. But, the deep sand and dunes are a lovely part of this complex. Also enjoyed observing the wildlife: deer, fawn and rabbits. thank you
Girlfriends shared this home for a week and we had a wonderful time. Kitchen utensils adequately supplied, beds were comfortable - weather was spectacular! The one drawback was that the walkway didn't go closer to the ocean. It was difficult for some of my friends with health issues to walk thru the dunes with beach chairs, etc. Had to call maintenance dept. twice and they responded both times within the half hour with great results. Very good value for the money.
My sister and I see each other every year. I go east Cambridge,Maryland and she comes west to Los Gatos,California. This year we chose Emerald Isle, because we could include my 2 nieces who live in Cary and a daughter-in-law who also lives in Cary. Having 4 bedrooms/3 baths and pet friendly made our stay comfortable. This was my 1st time to the Emerald Isle and the Outer banks. Loved the beach for walking, not a sunbather anymore. I would change the description stating it had a covered deck, not really, and would make certain that there was a workable large umbrella for the outside table. The location was close to a large grocery store and wonderful restaurants. It was a 3hr drive from Raleigh, not bad.
We had our children and two grandbabies with us. We were really quite pleased with the house and area. The house was spotless and the kitchen had all of the essential basics. The house was more spacious than it appeared on the website. It is a bit of a hike over the dune but not bad. The beach is great and will be wonderful when we return with toddlers. Realty is very well organized.
