This was our first time to Emerald Isle and we arrived on Saturday afternoon, the staff was nice and friendly and quickly provide us with everything we needed. The condo we rented was nice and clean with a perfect view of the ocean. The weather was almost perfect the entire week (one day of rain)and we even enjoy the pool. We enjoyed the beach looking for shells, did a little fishing, biking and playing tennis. At the end of the week Morehead City hosted a Seafood Festival which is near by with great seafood. It was a very nice week and we'll probably be back again.

Good ocean view is worth the 3-story stair climb! Kitchen is very well equipped for some serious cooking if you're into that sort of thing. Comfortable mattresses. Hall bath shower head needs replacing but everything else O.K.

The unit was neat and clean and fairly well set up. The only suggestions I have would be to update the kitchen equipment. The non-stick pans are pretty well beat up. For me the mattresses looked pretty old and were not that comfortable. Overall, it is a nice unit to rent. I would rate it very good with new mattresses and kitchen equipment.

Beautiful view and we still enjoyed our vacation but there were a few issues that disappointed me about the condo which I reported most of them at checkout. The floors were sticky, all the dishes had to be rewashed, the coffee pot leaked on the counter, the faucet leaked in the kitchen, the windows wanted to fall out inside of the condo, the icemaker doesn't work in the fridge, and we couldn't leave the front door (soundfront side) open because the screendoor window had been broken. Some of these issues we understood because Hurricane Irene had just been there so we didn't bother complaining about it but did inform EIR just so they knew we didn't do any of these things.

Pros: Lovely apparmet, furnishings were tastefull and charming. Kitchen was very well equipped. View was fantastic and proximity to the beach is great. Cons: master bedroom matress was way too soft and pillows were too firm. Shower in bath 2 was very poor, had no water pressure at all. However, my sons did not mention it until day 5 of the visit, so we did not bother to report it till check out. Instructions for wirless use need to be posted, we called maintenance who fixed it immediately. (click on Wlan) TV remote did not work. 3 floor view was amazing, but could not use patio this time due to heat (no cover) Administrative problems: initial booking was incorrectly recorded which created delays in processing payments (booked by phone) We requested early check in and it was confirmed. However upon arrival they indicated numbers had been tranposed and the apartment was not ready. The cleaning crew was sent to appartment at 3, but were unable to do a thorough cleaning because we were already there. (we wited outside) What they did acomplish in 30 minutes was amaszing. They were very apologetic, I reasured them that they did the best they could in the little time they were given. Would I return : absolutly. Above issues are minor and can be dealt with and fixed. Any issue I called in about (wireless) was handled efficiently and very quickly by the maintenance manager. We did not report the showers until check out, had we called it in, I have no doubt they would have handled the situation immediately.
