"Sail away" is a beautiful home very conveniently located. We vacationed during the off season but were still able to enjoy many local attractions and activities. My family varied in ages from adult, to teenagers, to kids, down to 7 months old. The home easily accommodated all 17 of us. We had an amazing family vacation.
This absolutely beautiful home is more than anyone can expect in every way. Everything was perfect! I can't say enough about our stay there and how much we enjoyed this wonderful spot on the ocean. There is nothing this home does not have. The service of the agent was tops, check in and out was with ease. My 90 year old mother could get around the entire home with the elevator. The teens enjoyed the game room and theater. The adults enjoyed the Hot Tub, and the very large kitchen to gather in. The location is beautifully located, right on the beach and close to the restaurants and shops of Emerald Isle. Being there in winter, we had plenty to keep us busy and entertained during the ice storm!! And, we enjoyed the beach walks when the sun came out. This was a family reunion as many family live in the immediate area and came to visit for the "90" birthday celebration. Thank you Sail away owners, Carol Parent and family.
Sail away comfortably held 14 members of our family during our week stay in October. My daughters,son,daughter-in-law and son-in Laws loved the well-stocked kitchen and its open style, allowing them to visit with others in the dining room or sitting area. My five grandsons, who stayed downstairs enjoyed the pool table, Fooz ball table, movie room, and easy entrance to the pool and hot tub. When the hot tub needed some servicing, one call was all that was needed to have someone come to service it. This was our second stay at Sail away and we look forward to our third.
We had our wedding at the end of our one week stay in the Sail away house. I couldn't have asked for the stay and wedding to have been any more perfect then it was! The house was just gorgeous! Bathrooms in every room for all my family that came to stay with us. Plenty of space and accommodation for the huge group we had! All kinds of things to do in the house if you were in the house from movies/tv in the media room to pool or foosball in the game room! Also great pool and hot tub outside! Just an unbelievable time and I can't wait to go back and stay in Emerald Isle again!
Our family of twenty 8 kids and 12 adults enjoyed a great vacation at the Sail away. The location was great for shopping. Was surprised how close it is to the main road. Thought it would be noisy but it was very quiet. All the beds were very comfortable except one K on 2nd floor on sound side. Only a few complaints. Pool deck is in need of desperate repair/replacement. All the kids got splinters and one got a nail. Some of the rockers were broke. Had to buy water shoes for the kids for safety. The kitchen supplies were great for that many people, except it needs another fridge upstairs. Lots of dishes for serving and baking. We ate all our meals in. Also the tables are crowded in the dining area. Too big for the area. We stayed last year in another home that had one long table that sat 16. Took up a lot less room and everyone sat together. Also one of the dishwashers kept cutting off and not washing the dishes. The house was not cleaned very well when we arrived but the response was great by the staff, they sent cleaning crew out right away. We were over run with trash when we got there on Sunday. Don't think the previous week renters took it out at all. Maybe staff could check on that mid week to make sure trash gets out. Because of the trash lots of flies, and the grill was there. Concern for the safety of pool area since it is not gated from decks or doors. Pool chairs need cushions, very hard for the sunbathers. We brought our own gates and adjustable shower poles to put on at night to keep little ones from wandering. Spa was in need of mid week cleaning and was unable to reach the pool guy at all cell phone number was not correct. Left message on other number. Beach access is great and the views are great! Elevator was very stinky! Only used for moving in the first day groceries.

Thank you for providing your feedback and suggestions. It pleases me to let you know that for 2014 the dishwashers have been replaced and the deck will be repaired. We'd love you to revisit Sail Away and enjoy these newly replaced features. Please call us to book your next vacation to the Crystal Coast - 1-888-832-0140.
Loved the Sail away and the views of the ocean and Bogue Sound. Viewed a beach wedding, wind surfers, beautiful sunsets on the Sound, and the "Supermoon" outside on the beach side. The family also went deep sea fishing and visited Fort Macon. The location, amenities and staff service including the pool person were excellent. What problems we did have were minor and taken care of by Emerald Isle Realty staff. The only suggestions or concerns we had were the carpets throughout the house that we thought should be replaced and the wood decking that would benefit from the new paint that coats wood decking and makes it like new.
We had a small group of 20 friends and relatives for a week long celebration for a wedding on the beach. Sail away was perfect for the event, with plenty of room for dining, a game room and film room, swimming in the pool, basking in the hot tub, strolls on the beach, excursions into Beaufort, and sunset watching. Emerald Isle realty took care of arrangements and responded quickly to any main tench requests or questions.
Beach weddings are beautiful and something in which our event team specializes. Congratulations to you and yours! We wish you many years of happiness. Please call us when you're ready to plan your anniversary trip to the beach - 1-888-832-0140.
