11 of my family members stayed at Sail away for a week- ages ranged from 2 year old to 60's. The house/home was accomodating for all and well worth the cost. There are two dishwashers in the very large kitchen. The cabinets are stocked with plenty of glassware and cookware. We didn't need anything that wasn't there when we prepared several meals. There are two dining tables that seat large group for family meals. There are ocean and sound views from the kitchen - just beautiful. Every bedroom (except one) has its own bathroom. Linen service they use was great. Ample linens and washer/dryer available also. The elevator is very useful since there are (3) levels. The pool table, foosball table, theater room, outdoor pool and jacuzzi provide ample entertainment --- in addition to the sea, sand and sun, of course -- that are right out back! The home is very clean and nicely decorated, but very livable. (Glass tops on all furniture is great for protecting furniture so vacationers don't have to stress over that!). The price was a little high compared to some homes we looked at, but very definitely worth it for big group. Also, I'll mention that I've used EI Realty Service for vacation rentals before and they are great! Zero complaints.

Our growing family has vacationed at Emerald Isle for about 20 years. I'm the oldest of six children, some of whom have been coming here since childhood. Now we're all married, with children (two of whom have spouses) and even a grandchild. This home accommodated 4 generations beautifully, and is my favorite, by far. It's hard to find fault with an oceanfront home that has a fabulous oceanfront pool and hot tub, as well as a home theater. The kitchen was well equipped (service for almost 40!), with two dishwashers and seating for about 22. From the kitchen, you could view the sound and turn around to view the ocean...just perfect. I almost don't want to mention how much we loved this house for fear that it will always be booked when we want to use it again.

This house is awesome for large or multiple families. My only suggestion is to get rid of the carpet. The decking will soon need to be replaced as it is tough on the feet.

The Sail away accommodations and location were wonderful! We had 10 adults and 8 children that come from MD, SC, and Va. Every adult couple had their own bedroom with a view and private bath. The lower level was perfectly setup for the children with two rooms with beds and bunks and sleepovers every night with cousins made for special memories. Everyone enjoyed the game room, media room, pool, hot tub, and proximity to the ocean. The pictures made the walkway to the beach look long but it was good and we kept our beach stuff on the lower deck as not to drag it all the way up to the house everyday. The beach was beautiful and clean, the water was emerald, and there was not an under current so the little ones even enjoyed the waves. The house layout was very well thought out as we all loved the top level living area. Sail away is on a narrow part of the island so we had no view obstructions on either side so we could enjoy the bay and ocean views. The top level having the kitchen and living room worked well as the seating and supplies in the kitchen was perfect. Someone had shared in a comment that there was only one stove and oven so it was hard to cook for a big group so we brought electric griddles and pre-made some food in order just to reheat. It all worked out great. Very nice having two dishwashers in the kitchen, a fridge in the kitchen and another full size fridge in the game room, and we used the grill too. The local seafood at Willis along with the key-lime pies was delicious! Highly recommend staying here and we hope to visit again!

My husband and I have been renting from Emerald Isle Realty for years. We came down for a long weekend to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday with 12 of our best friends. Sail away was the perfect Beach Home to get together. The accomodations were excellent! The home is beautiful. This was one of the best vacations we had and one we will never forget. The customer service from Emerald Isle Realty was excellent as always. Would highly recommend vacationing at Sail away any time of the year and renting from Emerald Isle Realty.

Our family enjoyed a week at Sail away, celebrating our parents' 60th anniversary. We were 6 adult couples, and we all agree that we felt totally pampered for the week! The location is perfect, right on a beautiful beach, and the house had everything you could ask for. There is plenty of common areas for visiting and recreation, and also very spacious bedrooms for some quiet time. The owners have decorated it beautifully, and have provided all that one would need for the vacation. There were plenty of nice quality kitchen supplies, dishes, etc. for the 12 of us. And the 2 dishwashers and fridges were really appreciated! Any maintenance issues that came up were handled speedily by the rental agency, which was also reassuring. We were told the mosquitos were the "national bird" of the island, so bring bug spray with you! It wasn't an issue much during the day, (except on the golf course they were a pain!), but in the evening they did appear. We did fight a bit with the elevator, it didn't seem to work consistantly, which was an issue for my elderly parents, but that is really the only complaint we have after our week. All in all, a totally enjoyable experience, with the weather co-operating as well, for some fun pool and beach time.

Except for a few minor problems everyone was very happy and enjoyed our stay. There were thirteen of us. Very beautiful home. I give you a 10.

only 2 big problems...first, the trash pickup on Thurs...not good to come into a place you have paid $9000 for and find all the cans filled to overflowing, and no help for 5 days/// Also the TV in the MBR was impossible to use...

Sail away is a beautiful home. The pool is an excellent feature that was enjoyed by the children and grandchildren. The elevator was a valuable asset. Would have liked a bigger stove to accomodate cooking for a large group (17 adullts and children). Couldn't get the TV in the Entertainment Room to adjust to true colors. The location for bicylists is perfect. A relatively flat 23 mile long route that has a bike lane for most of the route. Recommend turning right and going all the way to the end at Fort Macon, and then riding to the traffic light just before the 21 mile marker in Emerald Isle. For those interested in multiple laps, Sail away is in a good spot for Rest Stops at 23 and 44 miles. Emerald Isle Realty folks were pleasant and very helpful during the incoming and outgong processes, as well as during our calls for maintenance on the elevator, dishwasher and rear door.

The home was basically great. Unfortunately the kitchen was a bit inadequate. The stove is very small for such a big house with so many beds, no island and the worst only one dishwasher. The second one was broken when we arrived, was replaced 3 days later..With another broken one, so we ended up having to wash by hand often, not something we Espected to do when the ad said "2 dishwashers"
