The property is a cheerful purple building with an upside down layout -- the kitchen and family room are on the top floor. Our half of this split property had no covered balcony, unlike the other half. This was a disappointment because it rained all week and we couldn't sit outside as much as we would have liked. This is our fourth year renting on Emerald Isle and this property was the most in need of updating of any we have stayed in. There were 6 things obviously broken (3 were repaired promptly or at least made "safe" after two calls to the maintenance department). The house had a lot of sand left behind by past guests as well. We still had a great time, but I thought it lacked on value for money because of the above.

We recently stayed at Sea Rinity West whlie vacationing at Emerald Isle. The house is roomy and the number of bedrooms and baths made it very easy for our group to spread out and not feel cramped. The house itself is in need of updating. There was a lack of lightbulbs available so we had to take some from the smaller lamps and put them in the sconces or overheads to have adequate lighting. The kitchen was fairly well equipped with the exception of silverware and glasses. There was not a full set of silverware for 6 placesettings so we went to walmart and purchased additional pieces. We also bout wine glasses as there were only 2 in the cupboards. The decks are in need of updating and there are multiple naul pops and missing boards. There is also a serious lack of usable deck furniture. The proximity to the beach is nice, but, the beach is a little crowded right there due to the public beach access adjacent to the house. (Crowded by Emerald Isle standards.) Overall, the house was OK, but, for a few additional dollars you can do,better.

The booking, check in and check out process were flawless, again. The web site is so easy to use. We have used Emerald Isle Realty many times over the last twenty years and they keep getting better, more user friendly and committed to customer service. Eir has no control over the weather but we had just about perfect weather during our stay, 6/16 to 6/23/12, Highs in the 80's and sunny everyday. Great for golfing, swimming and sunbathing. No shells this year, boo hoo for the wives. We will be coming back to an ocean front home again. We stayed in Sea-Renity West, it was not one of the nicer homes we rented, but we liked the location and price. Pay a bit more for a newer home and you will be rewarded. this rental is a bit dated and not as well equipped as others we have add, it did have six bedrooms and proved to be comfortable if not luxurious and we really do not spend much time sitting in the house when we are at the beach.

I loved the location,the hardwood floors and the six bedrooms. Except for the basement bedroom. There was mold on the vents. The outside decks need attention and a safety check. The porch furniture could be more comfortable. Refrigerator, sliding door on top level and dishwasher need attention. It is basically a great house that needs attention.

Overall good experience, but the house is showing it's age a bit. Sliding doors hard to open, deck needs some repairs, coffee maker poor, toaster only half works, bathrooms showing wear. (All that said, beds very comfortable!) House could use a large deck umbrella on top level. Table needs cleaning under glass.

Stayed at SeaRenity West and the pics online did not deceive. The duplex was clean and rooms/decor was as shown. Fantastic views from 3rd floor. Bedrooms were spacious and clean; same with bathrooms. This one was of the closest homes to the beach. Only negatives were the bbq was old and unsafe therefore we did not use; the other was the condition of the boardwalk down to the beach - needs maintenance. Kitchen could use some updates.
