We have been vacatoning off and on at Emerals Isle for the past 30 years. This however was the first time we were able to come in the fall. We have always come in the summer, but this time of year is fabulous. The weather was perfect, the beach was perfect and so are the employees at Emerald Isle Reality. They make the planning and staying a great experience. Summersalt was a great home to stay in. Right on the beach, great view and very comfortable. We will be back.

This was our first vacation to Emerald Isle and words cannot do it justice! The house was more then we could of ever asked for, waking up every morning and going to sleep every night with the ocean and sounds at your fingertips! The owners of Summersalt went above and beyond anything we could of ever imagined. Emerald Isle Realty was the best!!! Check-in was so easy, and any questions we had were answered it seems like before we even asked them. Every morning we would wake up and do our morning walk to the Point! Was so beautiful!! There was nothing that we didn't like about the house, or location... In fact we liked it so well, we booked it for the same time next year! Will make a lot of the winter in WV better, just remembering Emerald Isle, and thinking of next year! Thank-you Emerald Isle Realty for truly making our first visit there so special, your the best!!!

Absolutely loved the house and the location! Beautifully decorated and maintained. I'm a property manager and notice maintenance issues even when I don't want to -- Summersalt is by far the most well-maintained house in our 13 years vacationing at Emerald Isle, and we typically stay in Dolphin Ridge and Spinnaker's Reach. Summersalt is about five houses up the beach from Dophin's Ridge just as the beach begins to narrow but still plenty of beach! The walkway from the house to the beach is a composite material as opposed to wood -- great for bare feet. An outdoor shower is on the walkway to the house, on the deck closest to the beach. The upper decks are huge and have bar-sized deck chairs so we could see the ocean instead of the deck rail! All living areas and bedrooms are ocean-front although the fourth level loft with the three twin beds didn't have a door which could be a pain for visitors with small kids. The beach level bunk room has two bunk beds (four beds.) Next to that is a game room with a pool table, TV and sleep sofa. Our only issue with the house is that the two beach level rooms were musty smelling (but did have dehumidifiers.) Not a problem in any of the other rooms. Bedrooms were great. We were in a group of seven but the house sleeps 15 counting the sleep sofa; three masters for adults and the remaining for kids. The main level master bath adjoins the bedroom and can be accessed from the common areas if you feel like sharing, but with five bathrooms that wasn't an issue. What we love most about EI is the lack of commercialization; no beach hotels, no boardwalk, no food vendors. Just beach houses and sand. Emerald Isle Realty was pleasant to deal with. All staff members were friendly and enthusiastic, great after a thirteen hour drive. We were excited to be back at Emerald Isle and they were happy to see us. There are worse things after a long drive than a crabby rental agent, but an enthusiastic one definitely helps escalate vacation fever

The vacation was so relaxing and refreshing. It gave us a great opportunity to spend time as a family and reconnect. The house was amazing! Especially the decking material- So practical and comfortable! Beautiful decor, gorgeous views, amazing animals, and lovely memories made. There were a few tiny issues with the house but nothing major: the deck door is hard to open, there are no games to use the Wii, and the living room TV hums. I do wish we'd have known we didn't have to provide the propane for the grill; I didn't find out until later that the Realty office would take care of that. But overall the adorable purple house was wonderful! Everyone had their own space and bathroom, and the views from every window were breathtaking.

We really enjoyed this house more so than previous rentals at Emerald Isle and PKS. It is a perfect location; close to everything but still feels off the mainstream. It has a great driveway that our 3 year old used to ride his tricycle. The ocean views were outstanding. We would not hesitate to book this house again!

Our group of 4 couples has been vacationing together for 6 years. We have been at a beach 4 times and the mountains twice. We seem to be drawn to the ocean! We have always had nice accomadations in our travels, but Summersalt was the best. The house was nicely furnished and the stocked items in the kitchen were the best. It was a simple check-in and check-out procedure and we loved it. The only fault we found was that there seemed to be a musty smell in the house. Maybe this is common for a beach house, but we've not noticed it in the houses we rented before. We also noticed the odor on our personal things after we returned home. We are from Illinois and if we travel to the east coast again, we know where we'll stay. We've already recommended it to some friends headed your way next year. Thanks!

My family and I couldn't have been happier with this beach house. Great layout. Plenty of space. Nice modern appliances and furniture and the location was fantastic. We would definitely would recommend this house.
