"An Absolute Jewel"
This vacation rental was a vacation in itself - my vehicle never moved all week! There is tons of space, the master suite is one of the best I've ever seen - it is the whole top floor of the house. The kitchen is to die for - I have a large family, and there are plenty of places for everyone to sit and we didn't run over each other while cooking. The pool house is amazing, the pool is lovely, and my family, who are all fisherman, loved fishing from the dock. We caught baby sharks, blowfish, lizard fish, etc. We saw a dolphin on the very first night! A fantastic time was had by all - there was no reason to go anywhere except the grocery store. We brought our kayaks, and there is a little separate dock where you can get in and out of the kayaks, and keep them tied when not in use. The bathrooms are not pictured, but rest assured, they are more than adequate. The first night, we had an issue with the pool leaking, and called the homeowner, who was at the house in less than ten minutes. The only bad thing about the whole experience was the mosquitos. You literally could not walk out of the house without getting eaten alive, but as long as you use LOTS of bug spray, it's fine - I'm talking cans of the stuff! This is definitely our new vacation spot - loved it!

My husband and I rented this house for the week of the wedding, we used it for lodging for our wedding party and for our venue. The house is beautiful and well stocked however we had to scrub the deck in order to make it presentable for our wedding. Also, there were large spiders all over the outside of the house. When we toured the house we were assured the spiders would be taken care of. We also were surprised by the price difference in the off season when we mentioned that it would be for a wedding. We had to pay for the size of the wedding when those guests were only there one night. Throughout the week we should have only had to pay the standard amount. Other than the few issues, the house was perfect for what we needed it for.

"Great family vacation house!"
This house is awesome. There were 6 of us and we didn't even begin to fill the house up. The house is beautifully appointed with ocean and nautical themed items. We stayed 2 weeks. The first week we ate almost every meal caught from the dock. Blue Crab, Shrimp and fish! The pool was great and the pool house beats any I've ever seen! We all relaxed in the hot tub numerous times. We brought two boats. Our Stingray stayed on the lift and we put the Fishing boat in at the conveniently located boat ramp almost next door! We also brought 2 stand up paddle boards and 2 kayaks and a Wave Runner which we used in the intracoastal and in the marsh. There is a great floating dock for launching boards and kayaks. Hammock Beach is accessible by boat or by paddling...We went there several times...I have to say this was one of our best vacation experiences yet...We hope to return again and make this a family destination...Also, the owner made himself accessible to everything we needed which we thought was mighty hospitable! Thanks guys for a wonderful vacation!!

"Home away From Home"
Jewel of the Waterway has got to be the nicest vacation house my family has ever stayed in. We rented the house to have a wedding in the back yard. Mark, the homeowner left his personal phone number for anything we needed, as he was just up the street from us. He was kind enough to come mow the grass twice for us so the yard would look it's best for the wedding. He also answered the phone and was of great assistance anytime we called with questions about the house or nearby areas. Emerald Isle realty was also wonderful to do business with. They treated you like they had known you for years. The house was exactly as described, if not better. I would highly recommend this house and Emerald Isle Realty to anyone looking to visit the Crystal Coast.
