Amazing beach house.
Perfect house to spend time with family. The convenience, beauty and amenities are perfect for making memories. The pool tiki bar is so fun and the pool fridge keeps beer the coldest. Dont miss the opportunity to take the elevator whenever you can. It was my absolute favorite part of the house. Only criticism is the lumewarm hot tub and broken sound system. Bring a speaker and it will not be an issue. Loved it!!!!

Potential to be a nice beach house, but many things did not work.
We stayed at Chocolate Thunder in Emerald Isle, North Carolina from July 28 to August 3, 2018 for a family reunion (9 people: 5 adults and 4 kids). There were several very nice things about the house: house has two swimming pools. It is spacious; kitchen is well stocked, beachfront is very nice. Chocolate Thunder has the potential to be a very nice beach house. However, there were several issues that made it disappointing. We chose this house over another which was $1500 cheaper primarily because of the amenities. Here are some of the problems...Air hockey table ... table was new but cord had been cut. Could not be used. Boys were very disappointed.Big screen Tv on lower level didnt work.We had been informed a few days before we arrived that the surround sound for that tv did not work and the owner was not replacing it. But the tv did not even work.Jacuzzi ... Many of the of jets did not work.Gas grill ... no gas. There is a charcoal grill.AC downstairs flooding.Several doors dont open or hard to open. We were told parts were on order.Door handle hardware on back patio rotting off.Emerald Isle Realty staff were very nice and did come look at issues quickly after we called. However, not much was/could be taken care of. Before we left we asked for some compensation for these issues, but were told that the homeowner would not agree. If you are going to advertise such nice amenities and charge highly for them, you need to be sure that everything is in working order and make updates to the home.
