Please note this property may be located in an area that is scheduled for Beach Renourishment during the months of February, March and April. This section of beach is estimated to be nourished between April 6th - April 30th. Question & Answer (Q & A) from Carteret County Shore Protection Office Post-Florence Beach Renourishment Project
Q: WILL THE CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT, NOISE, AND BEACH NOURISHMENT PROCESS IN GENERAL CAUSE ANY MAJOR DISRUPTIONS DURING OUR VISIT TO THE BEACH?
A - LIKELY NOT. The bulk of the bulldozers, lights, surveying equipment, etc. is confined to the narrow area where the slurry of sand and water is being pumped directly on to the beach. The pipe is extended as the nourishment fill progresses further down the beach, and will subsequently be dissembled and moved throughout the project. Also, sand bridges will be built over the pipeline stretch at a minimum of every few 100 feet and at every regional beach access point to enable residents and visitors to access the water. Thus, any direct disruption will only be for a day or two. Beach nourishment is a "24-7" operation (24 hours a day - seven days a week), so progress should be very quick. Family getting together
Let's just say I read all the reviews about this place before we stayed at this home. So I took the prior reviews to heart and worked with Emerald Isle reality about the prior reviews. They reached out to me and keep me posted on the repairs to the home. While the house is on the market a lot of repairs have been done. When we arrived we noticed that the carpet was all new and, that the dbl and single bed room was updated with new beds. They looked very nice and more like an adult room than a child's room. There was all new carpet throughout the house and the home had been recently painted. The outside pool area looked clean and nice. The living room furniture had been updated with a nice sectional and three single chairs. This was nice to see, since we had a large group. The location to the beach was perfect and the property was clean. I would have to say that we were impressed with the house and how clean it was. We could see where repairs were done, and we are happy that they made all these repairs before we arrived. while there are hard wood floors in the kitchen and one review said they needed to be redone, they were fine. It's a beach house and it's hard to keep hard wood looking perfect when people are walking with shoes and coming in wet from the pool. We had a few items that we had to address like the ice maker, but we did not wait around the house form them. They came out and tried to fix it. It was a temp fix, but in the end the motor is dying. We have advised the rental agency of this. I do believe that things need to be reported and if they are not reported they can't get fixed. The views from each deck were wonderful. They could use a bit more seating on the top deck, but it was nice to have a deck off the front of the house and the back of the house. It was great to have an elevator inside the home. That made it easy to get the groceries to the top floor. The bottom floor has three bedrooms and the queen master has it's own bathroom, but it is small. It is not like the master on the 2nd floor. There are four bedrooms located on the 2nd level and the final king bedroom is located on the 3rd floor. It is a quite area around the house and the beach crowds were minimal. You do not hear the road noise at all and there is plenty of parking at the house. It is about 7 miles from grocery shopping and there is a dollar store about 3 miles away. In the end would I rent this home again. Yes it was very nice and a great improvement from what I read. It appears that the owner is showing some TLC and I hope that they continue to clear up the rest of the issues. It's a great house that just needed a little love. If you have never been to Emerald Isle, well it's the best place ever and Coral Treasure was a nice home. It lives large for a big crowed. We had 16 adults and two children. It never felt crowed.
