"Great Place to stay on Emerald Isle"
This was our second stay at Grand Villas, but the first time in this unit. It is the 3 bedroom 3 bathroom floorplan which was perfect for our 6 person group of the two of us, our two (almost) adult children, and one set of grandparents. Grand Villas itself has a wonderful pool and beach, fitness center, bbq area, firepit, etc. People should be aware that this is not a hotel/resort, but rather a condo building so you will not get pool side drinks service, room service, etc. Pluses:Easy check in/out with Emerald Isle RealtyGreat views and terracesGreat air conditioningPlenty of room for 6 peopleWasher/dryer in unitNice master quite and bathroomsBeautiful Pool/BeachMinusesKitchen could have been a little better equipped (eg large salad bowl)Kitchen pantry locked for owner use, unlike the other 3 bedroom unit we had previously rentedcarpets in rooms appeared to be a bit wornPool can be overrun with small screaming children at some times

"No crowds the week before Labor Day"
The condo was lovely and the complex was very quiet. The water warm and the ocean calm. Best thing - no crowds of people on the beach. Very relaxing stay.

"Great relaxing beach location!"
If weather is good, water is beautiful shades of blue and green!! 3BR Property is only a few years old - nice size rooms, very clean pool with restrooms and snack bar (never open in early June when we are there), beach chairs & umbrella setup for you, good size balcony. Fire pit is great to sit around at night. Property and public area are kept very clean, security guard can be seen making patrols. Currently no buildings on one side of the property, small homes on the other side so beach has not been crowded (not sure what it is like during peak season, there is a public beach access close). Prefer rooms G-M side of building so you don't have to hear or have view pool bldg.Things to do - aquarium (smaller but nice), Fort Macon that shoots a cannon every Wed afternoon, Cape Lookout lighthouse 30-45 mins away, boat and water equip rentals and tours nearby, mini golf/go kart rides maybe a mile away.Restaurants - few nearby, but prefer to go to Morehead or Swansboro to eat along the water.Love the relaxed "laid back" area, if you love the boardwalks or Myrtle Beach type atmosphere - this may not be for you.
