"Why stay anywhere else in Emerald Isle?"
Great condo for the family. Pool and beach are within walking distance. Emerald Isle is a wonderful place to vacation with the family!

"Nice stay with some quirks"
I will agree with the other reviews that this condo is indeed clean and tidy. We appreciate that the owner is reinvesting in the rental every year. And Emerald Isle Realty made sure that all of our concerns were addressed. That being said, there were some quirks that I would like to share:1. This condo is located on the 3rd floor. That means you get the nicest view of the ocean, but you also have to walk three flights of steps constantly (no elevators, nor would you want them).2. There is no outside storage of significance. If you take your bicycle, be prepared to park them in the parking lot on the bike racks - exposed to the salt and weather. There is some limited space for beach gear.3. The window treatments in the bedrooms did not filter light (although of all places the living room curtains were light blocking). So at night, with a light on in the rooms, you could clearly see in from the outside. What's more, at sunrise, the room filled with light - which is great, unless you are sensitive to bright light when trying to sleep.4. The living room ceiling fan's light switch was rusted fast. So, if you wanted the air from the ceiling fan, you had to endure the light as well. Basically, the light is always on because you need the ceiling fan to run to help with cooling.5. The stove is clean, but the old style heat coils made cooking less than ideal.6. The pots and pans have seen better days but were serviceable.7. We were there during an exterior remodel. The condos are over 30 years old, so I'm certain they needed work. And the new color on the exterior makes you feel like you are at the beach! And certainly the new sliding glass door was awesome. However, the pounding of nails all day drove us crazy. And we had to squeeze up half the steps as the painters tried to paint the steps while we used the building. There were many inconveniences, but we made the best of it.8. The carpet, although only 4 years old, needs cleaned.9. The shower diverter was stuck, so the shower was always on when you turned the water on (rather than first flowing through the spigot). We called maintenance and they fixed it, but it still didn't work very well.10. The walls are paper thin, so if you have a loud neighbor, you will hear their entire dinner conversation and more!11. Security is present and often check vehicles for the proper parking permits. We did have a party in a neighboring condo that went on until 1:30 am on the outside deck. I was disappointed that security didn't put a stop to it sooner, since quiet time is between 11pm and 7am.12. The outside charcoal grills are used frequently, so plan accordingly. We loved the proximity to the beach and pool; both the pool and ocean were warm and enjoyable. Overall, we had a great time. I share my thoughts and opinions above because I think it is important to travels who only see 5 star reviews without more detailed feedback. Emerald Isle is a great family vacation destination and we will be back (but probably not to this condo).

"A great stay at the beach!"
We had a great stay at B308 in Emerald Isle! The interior was clean and tidy. The updated decor was so inviting- perfect for a relaxing week at the beach. There were four adults and three kids (ages 11, 6 and 2) in it for the long haul, and there was more than enough room for all of us to be very comfortable- close enough to know where everyone is, but enough "extra" space to have some alone time, if necessary! Loved the on-site laundry, very convenient when most days are spent swimming and/or digging in the sand! Great view from the rooms, and loved that all three bedrooms plus the main living area had balcony access. It was great to be able to wake up in the morning and to have the ocean be the first thing that greets you! The ONLY downside here was the climb- third floor and no elevator, so lots of stairs to the top. If you have mobility issues, you should consider a first-floor rental. Even with that, though, still five stars! Great place! A few more details- with the exception of the stove top, all of the appliances were new(er). Easy to use and very aesthetically pleasing. The stove-top worked, though, just was older than the rest of the very nice kitchen. Enough pots and pans and utensils for most cooks....if you're a gourmet chef, maybe bring some of your fave tools if you plan to do lots of cooking! Two of the bedrooms had closets and all had dressers. Would have liked a few more hangers in the master, but that's a very small complaint. Bathrooms were clean and in great shape- and I am SUPER picky about bathroom cleanliness- especially in a rental! The deck furniture is kind of just cobbled together- it doesn't all match, and the table will seat only 2 or 3 comfortably. We didn't mind, but I thought it was worth noting for someone who might plan to eat out on the deck. Wifi access was just open, even though there was a password listed for access....? Not the best signal, but that might be because it was open, so who knows how many people were accessing it.
