Perfect location and plenty of room
Our family takes a once a year vacation together so we really try to find a house that accommodates everyone. There are 17 of us and this house was fine. When you weigh everything this house offers plus the fact that we're not the only renters, I give it 4.9 stars. Check in was a breeze...the easiest we've ever had. The house was clean (a few spots on one carpet in a bedroom), the pool and hot tub were great and everything worked! Plenty of kitchen pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Beds were all made with clean linens and towels/wash cloths in each room. There were no kitchen dish rags or drying towels but one phone call and they were there! I like short response times and they were quickly to respond! The elevator was a primary convenience we had to have for my mom but getting all those groceries in....what a help! The kitchen/great room being on the top floor was perfect for beautiful sunsets and sunrises over the ocean...the island goes east-west. The view was breathtaking! It only rained one time when we were there so the pool table and covered hot tub stayed busy during the shower. The public beach assess is literally across the street. Looks like this review is the first in 2016 so let me say...we had a blast, the whole family loved the house and we've booked it for next year!

Large family with almost 50 years of Emerald Isle gives thumbs up !
Large size with ample bedrooms made this a good fit for a large family. We were particularly excited that with some of chairs from the porch we could seat all the adults and some of the 3 toddlers with us. We spent almost all our time in the top great room and porch, the pool and on the beach. It was nice to have our own grill to have some meals prepared outdoors. Our only two negatives were that the refrigerator for this size house was a little small, and we would have liked a large pot for cooking corn or shrimp, and larger frypans and a griddle. With two dishwasher kept busy and plenty of plates and utensil, and two washers and dryers, accomodations were great for a week or even longer. The house required a number of routine maintenance and cleaning items attended to when we arrived, but the staff responded quickly to list.
