So Pleasant and Relaxing
For an oceanfront experience, you can't go wrong here. The house is spacious for our family of 6. The covered deck is nice for being outside and enjoying the view but also for avoiding the sun. Looking out from the living room and seeing our children playing in the sand and waves was the highlight for me. Very few people around and lots of space to feel free and playful on the beach. Hearing the waves crashing 24 hours a day is a real luxury. In the master bedroom the king bed was kind of soft, which I usually don't like, but I soon came to love the bed and spending hours there reading books with a fantastic view. The kitchen was full with all the supplies we needed for an occasional cooked meal. We spent a day at Ft. Macon and Beaufort, both worth a visit. Went to a couple movies nearby on rainy days. We were a little disappointed with the choice of restaurants - there are a few pizza joints in Emerald Isle, but nothing particularly healthy and modern. For more selection, you must go to Swansboro or towards Beaufort. It was sad to see the surrounding areas to be somewhat depressed. However, that is probably one reason our beach front house was so affordable. And when you are on the beach, none of that other stuff matters much. We enjoyed the 1000 piece puzzle supplied in the house and just slowing down. It was an awesome vacation - exactly what we needed and wanted.

Check in and out were a snap. We had all family in 2 sides of a duplex. Living room dining room large enough to accommodate everyone from baby to grandparents. Beach lovely, uncrowded and shallow water. Even able to surf a little. Lots of things to do very close by. Golf, mini golf, go karts, aquarium, museums.
