The unit & location are perfect and we still enjoyed our vacation very much however there were some challenges. The pool and activity areas were closed due to Covid but this is not a state or CDC mandate but instead the HOA chose not to open them. We paid full price and once these were closed had to fight for a discounted rate due to loss of amenities. This may not be important to everyone but we have 35ppl in our group (8 condos) with a lot of small children who enjoy the pool. The most annoying thing however is that there are a couple of busy bodies in the complex who have nothing better to do than try to micromanage the renters. I believe they live there full time and really don’t want renters in the complex so try to make everobe as miserable as they are. It wasn’t just in our building but also my aunts building ... the owner across from her was taking pictures of them and accusing them of having too many people staying there - there were only 3ppl there but her adult children & grandchildren would walk down from their place to visit. The people across from them had family come over from Jacksonville to visit and they we’re accused of the same thing, too many people. Honestly these few owners have nothing better to do than sit and watch you all day just waiting for you to break a minor rule such as hanging a towel over a balcony to dry, There are a few nice owners that want the renters there and are very welcoming. The units themselves are great and work perfectly for our annual family trip to Emerald Isle. We look forward to returning in 2021.
