Great Family Get-Away
We travel to Emerald Isle every other year with family. There are a total of 10 adults and 10 kids, and this house was the perfect spot. We've never stayed as far north as Indian Beach but it was a great location. Both sides of the house had water views, Oceanfront and then the "Roadside" was also Sound Side, so that was a nice perk. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the amenities, and the game room was a perk for the kids. The location on the beach was great, not overly busy, and a short drive to the store, Willis Seafood Market, and putt putt. My only complaints would be, that the bedroom with the Queen does not have a bathroom attached. That same room did not really have an operable sliding glass door to the patio, however maintenance was quick to come over to work on it (but wasn't fixed by the end of the week). This is a minor detail, however frustrating, the televisions in the bedrooms were so difficult to operate. Remotes didn't work, dvd players were not hooked up, AV cables were missing, batteries were dead...I didn't really care, but when I wanted my kids to go to their rooms and watch a movie before bedtime it was a nightmare. Overall, great house! We would definitely go back again!

aWedding Week in "Sail Away". PERFECT!
My family needed a place to stay for my sons weekend wedding, so I began my search. The wedding was in Beautfort, and I wanted EVERYONE in my family who was coming to be able to stay together. This house has 8 rooms for sleeping, and 8.5 bathrooms. Because it was off season, if we all pitched in, we could afford it. IT WAS WONDERFUL!!!! We ended up hosting the rehearsal dinner for 50 people at the house. We enjoyed the theatre room, the game room, the well stocked with high end appliances, pots and pans, dishes, etc..., decks, etc. Everyone had a place to be. The elevator was a blessing with all of the food that was brought in to be prepared, along with the rented tables and chairs. We all cried (seriously!) when we had to leave. The beds were comfortable. The views in the kitchen are breath taking. You just sigh when you look out the windows. This is the place to stay!!!! I would come back every year if I could!. (The kitchen had trays, decorative bowls, plenty of glasses and mugs for the 22 that stayed the weekend. The house was beautifully decorated!)

All in the family
My husband and I, along with our children and grandchildren, 7 adults, 5 children enjoyed a peaceful week at Sail Away. We had plenty of room so no one got in anyone's way. We loved going in the pool after a fun filled day on the beach. All right outside our door. Night time crab hunts were a big hit with the little ones, as was a trip to the Aquarium just minutes away. We returned home to New Jersey with suntans and many great memories we did encounter a few problems that need to be mentioned for the owners consideration. The elevator did not work half thetime and it was inconvien4 goubg from kutchen, 3rd floor to pool, lower level. The deck area is in needs of finshubg, my grandchildren had splinters on their feet when using the pool. Very scarse annenites, basic needs like compactor bags. Outdoor shower was not clean so we never used it. Not enough patio chairs for a house that size.
